Young Author of “Z” Generation
By
Ghulam E Mustafa

The Inspiration
Ghulam-E-Mustafa started with a childhood dream of becoming a writer passionate about Roman history and tales of Roman warriors. With the support of his parents, friends, and school teachers, he finally mustered up the courage to write a book. Ghulam-E-Mustafa comes from a family of great writers and directors, and his experience as a traveller and tourer also triggered his imagination. His book is based on the adventurous quest of a boy named Johnny, who goes to ancient Rome to save the life of Zeus. This ingenious youth has found a way to make our mundane lives interesting by taking us to his fictitious world.
The Journey
The author, Mustafa, spent three months writing his first book, "The Legend of Rome," sacrificing his recreational time, working late nights, missing football matches, skipping meals, and being absent from friends' hangouts. Unfortunately, Mustafa lost the data from his laptop, causing him to feel like a victim of ill fate. However, his parents inspired him to start from scratch again, and after another three months of hard work, he was able to rewrite the book.
Key Learnings
Writing the book "The Legend of Rome" inspired Mustafa in many ways. It was a tremendous emotional experience for him. He got the chance to express his imagination and creativity. He learned to... set and achieve goals and agendas daily. It brought tremendous and positive results to his life. He learned to be resilient and fight back against all odds, especially when he lost all his data and went back to square one. “You acquire the strength of each hurdle you cross” Mustafa learned it along the way. Going through the process of writing and editing a book, he learned that the process requires thorough screening by the editors and field experts.
The Impact
'The Legend of Rome' promotes a love for reading fiction, and writers like Mustafa motivate children to season writing skills. What’s interesting—and maybe a bit counterintuitive—is that reading fiction like 'The Legend of Rome' can provide many of those same self-improvement benefits, even while exploring other worlds through stories that exist only in the mind.
Way Forward
Stay tuned for Ghulam-E-Mustafa’s next venture; he is busy writing and completing another piece of fiction!
