2020 came upon us with a rather untoward surprise, as we faced a pandemic, and our offices, businesses and daily household came to a standstill. To cope with all that was going on in the world. How a tiny virus had changed the entire lifestyle of the individuals, Vania and Aimen started devising ideas and ways to help modify the lifestyle according to the current situation. It is safe to say that it was a product of boredom. And that is how the idea of hosting a virtual conference was born.
The Journey
Girls took advantage of their free time during quarantine and pursued their ambition. They spent a month assembling a diverse team from Pakistan and other countries. With a social media presence and over 600 delegates, they held a charity-based event with no delegate fee. The team hired a professional IT expert to create their logo and set up a server on Discord. The event had interesting committees with healthy debates. To add an exciting twist, Harry Potter-themed fiction committee was introduced, which became very popular among delegates. Saltafa, a well-known teen influencer, conducted a fun session with the delegates during the entertainment session. The event ended with a thoughtful note from the president and vice president.
Key Learnings
