Fitness and Health
(Fitness is not a destination
it is a way of life.)

The Inspiration
‘Healthy Lifestyle is the key to success’ has always been Humna’s motto. After experiencing the impact of the pandemic on her own mental health, Humna strived to inspire others to join her in improving their physical and mental well-being. Her goal was to empower individuals to plan and achieve their fitness goals, leading to a healthier and more fulfilling life.
The Journey
Humna believed that a powerful mind and a fit body can achieve great things and decided to work with the Beaconhouse team to bring positive change through social media and mental counselling. She initiated talks and proposals with like-minded individuals to assist others in achieving their fitness goals. Through a platform she spreaded awareness and offered support during the challenging times and organised a mental and physical exercise boot camp for staff and students as a way to convey their message and inspire others.
Key Learnings
Raising mental and physical health awareness can combat the stigma surrounding mental health, providing relief to those suffering in silence. Physical fitness positively impacts mental well-being, benefiting teachers and students by reducing work and study stress. This project encouraged open dialogue, allowing individuals to seek help and advice without fear of judgement. By improving self-esteem and confidence, individuals can confidently pursue their long-term goals. Furthermore, the positive impact on peers witnessing the success of their friends will inspire them to emulate and lead a positive life.
The Impact
Collaborating with the 42-day Challenge Team, Humna witnessed people's willingness to embrace a healthy lifestyle, which motivated her to initiate this project. Humna believes young people have the potential to contribute significantly to the field of mental health and create a better world. Utilising the power of social media, she decided to spread awareness and bring about a change initially within her school community. This project aimed to provide an open platform for anyone seeking help for physical and mental well-being. Teachers and students were invited to join Humna in practising yoga and meditation.
Way Forward
Humna believes through this project, she'll be able to convey her message and bring a positive change. Moreover, she can be an inspiration and a source of motivation for her fellow teachers and students.
